Well I finally got sick of not flying due to strong wind/gusting, and smoke
haze,
I took off from R/W 23, with winds 20 kts gusting to 30 kts from south 180,
see extract from weather below. Boy was that interesting, rough, I got to
700 AGL and was loosing sight of ground quickly due to smoke, so I dropped
the nose end did two circuits at 500 AGL. Well the KR2 Tri gear was like a
washing machine, but it handled it very well.
The 2nd was not as good as the first, but what a HOOT, it handles cross
wind well.

Just a note to say 1100, homes lost in fires here now and 181 deaths and
rising. This will be remembered as a VERY SAD, BLACK week indeed
