he Buffalo accident, it really describes what ice build-up can do to wings and
ontrol
Pete is 100% correct about the ice. I was flying west over the contintenl
divide sunday at 17,000ft under a cloud layer
when I got traces of ice on the window, all was well until I tryed to pull the
carb heat on and found my ram air system
was iced and wouldn't allow the carb heat to operate. The engine wasn't running
to well but I went to a lower allitude
and returned home for some reengineering on the carb heat. The system works
great in fair weather but not very well when needed.
