I have read that using the WAF's to make the plane portable is not a
good idea as the bolts, washers and nuts will eventually wear out the
WAF's. That makes sense. I would think a good solution ,and easy to do
would be to make the holes in the WAF's larger, and use bushings in
those holes that the bolts, washers and and nuts can sandwich. When they
wear out, I'll get/turn a new set and I'm back in business. Any comments?
    Heres the latest:
I know have 15.4 hours of flight time. I am getting much more
comfortable with the 172 Skyhawk, though i do believe I wont buy
one....ever. Turbulance doesn't unnerve me like it used to, though it
does make practicing more difficult. Still, Andy (my CFI) seems to have
more confidence in me these days. I have learned that practicing at a
busy airport, such as GPT, is very ineffective for a beginner. The radio
is always interrupting the lesson, and often my touch and goes turn into
directed go-arounds. We now make the point of going west to Stennis
(HSA), a much better practice airport for me, and the tower guys are
real good with us rookies!
N1333A is now in my shop. I have told my customers that I'm no
longer doing speaker repairs as I don't have the room. Actually I don't
have the patience anymore. They only burn them up again in short order,
so its a waste of my time and effort. I am also shutting off cable TV.
The idea is that I should be spending that time on the plane. It also
gives me 55 bucks more a month to kick around. I'm replacing cable with
my old TV antenna on a rotor on a 60 foot tower i have purchased for my
ham radio activities. As for movies: Wal-Mart $5 bin when I want them!

I'll try to keep it regular as I get rid of these old backlogged
repairs I have left to do. Amps only from here on, and only the simple
problems. I have no interest in putting much time into someone else's JUNK.
PS: Keesler AFB Biloxi, MS Air Show April 4 & 5. I'll be at the EAA
booth most of the time. Stop by and say Hi .
