Ross,
I am the only one that I know of that has had a failure below the strut. I had
a hard landing with inn the first few months of flying my KR and it bent the
fork very slightly. What I did not know is it actually bent the pivot bolt
slightly and fatigued it. Some months latter I hit a nasty bump in the runway
and the pivot bolt snapped off and I ran over the entire nose wheel fairing and
all on an already aborted take off. it dropped to the strut and colapsed that
and ground the prop off. You can probably find all th gory details in the
archives. None of this seems to have hurt the actual fork and I did have some
shimmy at times until I got the strut and the other parts replaced to new
condition.

My question to Krnet is has anyone had a fork break from fatique.
I am going to have the fork crack tested so that I don't have a bad day in the
future.

cheers
