Deceleration (braking) pushing fuel out the vent would be my guess. My first vents in my wing tanks were straight 1/4" pipes. When the airplane taxied or "waggled" it's wings on the ramp, they would "p*ss" fuel out the vent. I closed them off and made some "homemade" vented fuel caps to solve the problem. Larry Flesner
