Did you build the aircraft? Did you "re-build" the aircraft? Just what is your situation? The only other data on the data plate is the engine, gross weight, and empty weight. None of these should change without the airplane going back through phase one testing for the assigned number of hours. I would not go about altering the data plate without taking all the proper legal steps (FAR's). I'm guessing your local FSDO will be involved before this is all over. Larry Flesner
