That sounds like I am better off paying some one to weld at a local shop
then.

I read this article in SA about how this guy soldered his cable connections
together with lead/tin solder like they did in the old days, and started
looking into the possibility of using flux and silver solder to braze
together my tanks. But now I think I will just pop rivet them together to
hold them in the shape and then have them welded.

aluminum is not reliable according to Kent. Sounds easy enough if one
follows the directions and might require the correct flux. I know, nothing
is as easy as it sounds but if you have ever watched Kent weld, it sure
looks varieze.
