There was an entire deal about 'folding wings" a few years back. Basically a
Mr. Moore had a design for folding wings and had offered one free to the KR
community. I guess in the hope that the rest of the community would buy his
plans from him for any additional sets. There was a raffle and I actually won.
However, I have since acquired a hangar and didn't need it but still thought
it might be a good option.
He never sent me a set of plans but he did send me an actual folding wing set
up. it's just set up on the spars to show you how it would work. I have never
used it and have now decided that I will never use it. Therefore, in the
interest of what Mr. Moore was trying to achieve I will offer it back to the KR
community. I don't know the best way to achieve that goal.
Is it something that should wait for the next Gathering (Dana can use it as a
raffle prize or even a tech session)? Should we try to do something like a
prop bank and everybody that uses it send a payment to Mr. Moore (let Mark keep
it)?
I still have all the original emails from back then if anybody wants to track
the story.
I don't want to start a thread that will last forever, but I do want to try to
do what I can for the group. Thanks.
