I use LPS 2 but LPS 1 could probably be used also. You want a spray type lubricant that comes with a spray tube so that you can put it right where it needs to go. You will find that you will still need a rag handy as it will spray more than you need and will end up running down the hinge so use the rag to wipe off the excess. The advantage of the spray is that it will force the lubricant down in between the hinge knuckles.
