Woo Hoo, it's time for fun flying and friends again. It looks like the local weather is going to cooperate except for Saturday evening. We are looking at highs of 77-82 for the entire weekend with lows at night in the mid 50's. It looks like we can plan on some rain as a cold front comes through Saturday evening. The remnants of the tropical storm that hit TX looks like it is going to remain north and west of us on Friday night. All in all, it looks like we just move the party inside on Saturday night.
You campers, the FBO is changing hands in one month so some things are not getting done around the airport...one is the car access code controlled auto gate to the grounds so just plan on parking in the parking lot and carrying your stuff, which will not be very far. This is going to cause the biggest problem for anyone wanting electricity. We do have access to the FBO and the bathroom. Anyone flying in, not in a KR, plan on using the main ramp tiedowns. If you fly a KR in, we are going to base our operations around the center large hangar on the south side of the ramp. They will be re stacking the hangar early this afternoon to make room for the KR. The ramp on that side is off the main part of the ramp and will allow us to mil around and stay off the main ramp....kinda give us our own little piece of the ramp. Again, fly safe. This is a unicom frequency airport so obey the rules of the road and remember, we are out in the woods and do not have airvac helicopters, fire trucks or emergency personnel on site. I, nor we the KR crowd, will in any way control the arrivals or departures. We may monitor, we may not but we will not control nor advise arriving or departing traffic on an official basis. Fly safe, we all know the rules of the road.
