NetHeads, Today I flew up to see Fontana Dam again, in western North Carolina...an hour up and an hour back. I saw a blurb on Hoover dam this morning on TV, and thought I'd see if the leaves were turning yet around Fontana Dam. They weren't, but it was still worth the trip (see http://www.n56ml.com/flights/100920035m.jpg ). On the way back I flew over the Ocoee River ( http://www.n56ml.com/flights/100920108m.jpg ), with the rapids and some rafters (orange dots in the middle of the photo), as well as the power stations along the way. I parked the plane with 955 fun-fiilled hours on the clock...
