I've seen reference to using GPS to verify cruise speeds before, and this seems like a great way to get an accurate ground speed, which is a great starting place for calculating airspeed if the actual wind speed and direction is known. Can someone walk me through how to get accurate wind information at 7500' with only a GPS?
