Try laying the section you need up on some plastic, in reverse. Plastic, peel ply, glass, epoxy, glass. Brush it out so it's wetted and then pick the whole lot up and stick it directly to the area you want it applied to. squeegee it well and tape the edges. I've not done this on a plane yet, but I have done it on a boat. I don't think the applications should be too different. Cheers. Pete.
