As I mentioned the other day, it's not a linear function, and not worth "eeking" out the last drop of power at the risk of reliability and safety. The difference in the 136 hp with 9.35:1 vs 8:1 is 8 hp, or 6%, according to Dyno2000 software. So it's not negligible to me, but it's certainly not worth killing yourself over...
