I used a gallon to build one 8 gallon wing tank last summer, and used every bit of it. I think that was one layer of deck cloth inside, followed by 5.85 oz cloth, and then another layer 5.85 ounce outside the foam. That tank is roughly 5" tall, 11" wide, and 24" long.
