Hello Marc, Nice to hear your concern about he protection of your KR.I used to fly a Piper Cub J3 which is fabric covered. If the plane is parked outside we protect the fabric form the exposure to the element by covering it with a soft-clothe-sided tarp.as well as the windshield. But be warned about the windshield, never use material that will absorb heat, such as a plane plastic or rubberized tarp since the heat absorbed by this material will transfer to the windshield and will develop a craze.Use light colored coverings to reflect heat.

If you tie down outside do you take precautions for sun and rain damage ? If so what are they. Please advise.
