There were NO KRs at Copperstate this year. I flew my newly finished SuperCub
Replica rather than the KR and Lee VanDyke's KR is still in pieces. However, a
few KR builders did stop by to chat in the shade under the Cub wing, and I
really did enjoy getting to see you guys and talk KRs. The turn out at
Copperstate was good. I saw Lee leaving Copperstate in the nose of the B-25, so
I know he was a happy camper. My SuperCub was awarded Best Custom Built
Replica, which was quite an honor for me.

FYI, The KR community was represented very well at Serfi this year. The
weather was absolutely perfect as Bill Page and Ken Thomas brought out their
KR2's for a weekend of friends and fun. Bill came in Friday and his beautifully
painted KR2 started turning heads immediately. Ken brought his Jabiru powered
KR2S in Saturday flying with a friend in a Lancair. How cool is that last
sentence ? Flying with a Lancair on 1/10th the cost and less than half the fuel
burn. Awesome !!! Thanks Guys, for representing the KR Community with style.
