There were NO KRs at Copperstate this year. I flew my newly finished SuperCub Replica rather than the KR and Lee VanDyke's KR is still in pieces. However, a few KR builders did stop by to chat in the shade under the Cub wing, and I really did enjoy getting to see you guys and talk KRs. The turn out at Copperstate was good. I saw Lee leaving Copperstate in the nose of the B-25, so I know he was a happy camper. My SuperCub was awarded Best Custom Built Replica, which was quite an honor for me.
-Jeff Scott Los Alamos, NM ----- Original Message ----- FYI, The KR community was represented very well at Serfi this year. The weather was absolutely perfect as Bill Page and Ken Thomas brought out their KR2's for a weekend of friends and fun. Bill came in Friday and his beautifully painted KR2 started turning heads immediately. Ken brought his Jabiru powered KR2S in Saturday flying with a friend in a Lancair. How cool is that last sentence ? Flying with a Lancair on 1/10th the cost and less than half the fuel burn. Awesome !!! Thanks Guys, for representing the KR Community with style. Mike Sylvester
