The KR-1 plans were the first that RR produced and have not been updated in many years, if ever. The 2S plans will be much better, but still very primitive when compared to something like an RV set of plans. However, many KR have been built using them, which speaks a lot about how simple it is to build this airplane. With the support of this media, you will be able to produce an excellent airplane.
Check with nVAero as I understand that they are coming out with a newer version of the KR and will have a different set of plans. That plane is supposed to be wider than the 2S, which, in my opinion is the only real improvement needed, to the current KR2S.
