Pete,

        My KR2S plans says the maximum I.D. width (between top longerons) is  
35 5/8" @ about halfway between the fore and aft spars. It's  
approximately 1.5-1.75" narrower in the shoulder region. Some builders  
have moved this widest point near the trailing edge of the wings to  
increase the shoulder width. There are aero advantages to this  
approach as well. More builders still, widen the whole 'boat' to suit  
their needs.
