Well, today I bit the bullet and ordered my IFly720. It will be here on Thursday. I just got fed up with a GPS that is very difficult to see in the sunlight. I have a plan for installation that, if it works out, will remove the need for me to install a SkyView, which will eliminate all the down time that would create.
I read the post from another KR netter that confirmed that it was very readable in sunlight and that is all I really need to make me a very happy flyer. Flew to Summerville on Saturday, about 160 mi round trip, to visit a couple of guys putting a Dan W. Corvair in their Sonex. And flew again this afternoon and expect to fly again tomorrow if the weather is as predicted. I think flying is funner than building. I think I am going to fly.
