Thanks for the advice Larry. I do have protection and, like yours, it does all the usual stuff like warning me if I try to open something dodgy. However in this instance the crap came from my account but not from any of my devices. Gmail history for my account shows activity from an IP address in Egypt about 8 hours ago (I'm in Australia and was asleep 8 hours ago - 1:30am). Somehow my password has been compromised. It's now been changed. Advice for all is change your password regularly and don't use the same password for different services (e.g. facebook, banking, etc.).
