im just speculating, but based on my foot injury, i suspect that as the earth
tore through the plywood floor, it caught my foot and it pole-valted me through
the back of the seat into the empennage.  possibly saved my life since there
was no more cockpit left at the crashsite.

I too am very glad to hear that you weren't seriously hurt.  I have been
involved with mishap investigation for the air force.  Even though we
shouldn't speculate at this point, I would look at your elevator controls
first based on your description.  You raised a very interesting point with
being found in the aft part of the fuselage....most seat and seat belt
installations only support forward g loading and really don't take aft
loading into account.  If the elevator control fails, you are just as
likely to land inverted as right side up.  I will be interested in hearing
what the ntsb comes up with so we can all be safer.
