I just want to publicly thank Dan Heath for his hospitality and generosity during my visit of his hanger and his beautiful Black Bird. Dan, thank you for your time and great conversation. It's not often I get away from Alaska, and this is the first flying KR I've been able to see since 1982. The only other KR I've seen during recent years is Fred Keller's KR-1 which is hanging in the museum in Wasilla, Alaska Dane's Bird is truly inspirational. Although I won't be able to attend the gathering, my vote goes to Dan for his clean Corvair installation and his new glass panel!
