The Diehl wing skin kit uses fiberglass foam sandwich for ribs per the Diehl 
plans.  The foam is 1/4-inch thick and uses one BID fiberglass on each side. 
Glue it in place with chopped cotton flox.

You can get the same effect by covering the surface of the foam ribs with a
layer of fiberglass before adhering the skin foam...that's what I plan to
do.
