Thanks for the suggestion of the 90deg cap.  

The Compufire system I have uses a centrifugal advance “distributor" to 
generate timing, but doesn’t directly distribute spark (no spark plug wires 
come from the distributor).  Since no cap, I don’t think the 90deg cap would 
help.  

A lower rise centrifugal advance “distributor” that can drive advance for the 
Compufire would be great.  The Compufire centrifugal advance “distributor” and 
its top hall effect sensor cap is fairly tall and perhaps theres some option or 
mod to lower it.
