Hi All, Really enjoyed looking through the site. This week I purchased this Rands KR2 from Derek who spent around 20 years perfecting this machine. It really is a work of art. Unfortunately For medical reasons Derek has allowed me to purchase his superb aircraft. It is incredibly well built, has retractable undercarriage and uses a HAPI 1835 engine. It was cleared for flight in 2007 and has been in Dereks garage ever since. I am six foot one and will need to lower the seats as much as possible so any advice or the whereabouts of this information would be much appreciated. Also any advice on deterioration of parts after ten year storage but completely dry storage. Have thoroughly enjoyed looking through the site and the carbon seats I have seen look good but perhaps a layer of Kevlar over the top to stop those splinters should anything happen.
