Most aircraft EIS systems are looking for thermocouple probes, not NTC
(an electronic interface).  Verify that your Garmin will work with NTC
first, which I doubt.  It doesn't take much of a torch to weld your own
thermocouples.  MAP gas will probably do it, maybe even propane and
oxygen.  I just used the TIG because it's three feet from my computer
and ready to go.

I would not "glue"  an oil fitting.  Welding on a bung and tapping it
for a threaded probe is the accepted method.  Depending on the glue
(even strong epoxy), the high temp of the oil will likely soften it and
allow the probe to blow out.
