I'll try an get another update on the runway opening from the airport manager today. Still only 11/29 open at the moment. 18/36 is scheduled for opening Friday morning, but it is not confirmed.
If you are flying in and need an alternate due to the high south winds, I recommend Warrensburg MO (KRCM) if you are coming in from the east. Runway 1/19. If you are coming from the west, I recommend K81 (Miami County). Runway 3/21 You can always sit for a while at the alternate until the winds die down a bit. Both have fuel. Miami county has a pretty good restraunt. Both have north/south runways.
