An update... after processing all the info I read on the archives ,it occurred
to me that I might be going at the wiggly wings all wrong. I had occasion to be
at the hangar for a few minutes today and decided to try the AN6-5A bolts in
some of the other WAFs that I have .In some, they were a bit loose and in a
couple of other sets they were a snug fit. I have a feeling that the WAFs on
that project were made to a slightly different size and I am trying to nail
that down. I think they might be 10 mm or thereabouts
Also, I think that the AN5-6A may not be correct anyway because of the grip if
I am reading things correctly the shear load should not be anywhere on the
threads and the WAFs plus washers are definitely on the threads on those bolts.
Now the search beg ins to find the correct bolts and hopefully that will
resolve my issue . Worst case scenario is either ream the holes to a known and
functional size or replace the WAFs and I have a few sets that are not drilled
at all. Every day brings a new adventure .
