Hey Guys, Back in March my wife and I drove eight hours to Fernandina Beach to visit friends. On the way home I made it clear to her that I was not doing this again when I can fly it in the KR in about 2 1/2 hours.
The weather was looking good for last weekend so I put the pressure on the wife, She said that she would try it, called my friend and he said come on down. We took off from Talladega at 6:30 Saturday morning and 2 hours and 15 minutes later we were landing at Fernandina. Spent the day and night with great friends and took back off for home Sunday morning. Clear blue skies both days and a tailwind on the way home put the ground speed at 180 mph. Made it home in 2 hours. The wife loved it and she can't believe how quick you can get somewhere in the KR. Keep building Guys, It's worth it. Mike Sylvester kr2s builder Birmingham,AL.
