Starting the event planning and my work of updating the Gathering web site was a lot easier this year because we're returning to Mt. Vernon. AND. many of the 2019 Gathering volunteer positions were accepted before we left the 2018 Gathering. But not ALL of them. (Flesner deserves a break since he's done this 10 times, right?) Most of the preplanning duties are already in progress. Specifically, the group (that includes you if you're coming!) need your help with: . Camping Detail If you're a past camper on-site, this is an easy task for you to pick up; you already know all about it. Just contact Chris and make sure we're good to go! . Onsite Registrations For the registration table, last year we had local volunteers who manned the sign-up sheet and collected money for banquet tickets and ProShop apparel sales. Again, just contact Chris and see if that's something we could expect this year. And then follow through. . Spouse/ Guest activities If you have a guest coming, ask them to look into what they'd like to do while we're all out there gawking at airplanes or attending the forums. Contact the Chamber of Commerce, maybe line a few things or destinations to visit and invite the other guests to join them.
