I just ordered 3 of the 660 pound scales with a 3 year warranty
($119.00). Should have them by the first of the week. I'll let you
know how they work out.

I received the scales today and first impression is good. I pulled one
out of the box to inspect it and it weighed me to within 1 pound of what
I weigh at the doctors office. Every time before I'm weighed at the
doctors office I guess 213 pounds, fully clothed, and the scale I pulled
from the box weighed me at 213.12 pounds. I set up the remaining 2
scales and they all weighed me within a pound or two of each other. The
do seem to be sensitive to within a pound or two on just how you stand
on the scale. It looks like Mark's idea of a solid platform on top of
the scale to weigh aircraft will be a good one. The shipping box and
foam will make nice storage containers when not in use. I'll give a
followup report after this weekends use.
So how can they build these things, ship them all the way from China,
sell through a local dealer with free shipping and get a three year
warranty for only $40 each and everyone along the way still make money?
Ain't capitalism / free market great !!!!
