All lumber surfaces exposed to air need to be sealed, including bolt holes and the cavities inside the spars. You can use the same type epoxy that was used to build the wooden parts. After mixing the two A and B parts, thin with a small amount of Acetone and paint the mixture on with a disposable brush. The Acetone will not affect the epoxy, but will evaporate as the epoxy cures. If you need to to glue another piece to the finished work, just scuff sand the wax off and ready to go again. Do use Acetone with lots of fresh air.
