The flight home from MVN was the easy part of the day. I was off at 6:30 and home at 8:00. I was able to talk to Mark and Mike on their way back to Alabama, and was talking to Rob as he was winging his way west towards Kansas City. Made for a pleasant flight with company to talk to. Smooth air, so was hands off flying all the way home.
Once on the ground, I was back on the road by 8:30 on my way back to MVN. After my third trip of the weekend through "Death's highway", this time hung up behind a semi that burned to the ground, I was back at MVN at 1:00. Hooked the car on behind the coach and headed back for my 4th pass down "Death's Highway", and was back home for the second time of the day by 6:30 in the evening. So it was a 12 hour day for me with most of it on the road. The flying part was by far the easiest and most pleasant part of the day. I really enjoyed the gathering. I don't think I properly expressed my gratitude for my plane being selected as one of the "Honorable Mentions" for the gathering. It was truly a surprise to me. Thank you. -Jeff Scott Cherokee Village, AR _______________________________________________ Search the KRnet Archives at https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/.
