That might be solution to carburetor sag. I just today replace the rubber hose from the heat box to the carburetor on my KR. it was starting to get a little deformed. The carb is suspended between the heat box that is attached to the engine and the intake manifold.

Subject: KR> Sagging RevFlow Injector

I’ve seen several “sagging” RevFlow injectors mounted on VW-based engines.
The typical installation involves just a length of rubber intake coupling
between the injector and the intake manifold stub. The longer the rubber
tubing, the greater the sag that occurs. I’ve also seen installation where
there is elaborate bracketry to support the injector. Kind of required as
there aren’t any mounting points cast into the injector body.

Today I ran across the image in the attachment from a ½ VW engine
conversion. THOSE guys have NO fear! The builder wrapped the rubber tubing
with what “looks like” aluminum sheet and then installed a single “extra”
hose clamp mid-span. See photo.

Looks like a simple solution to a common problem. Or am I overthinking this?
Any reason why this might NOT be a good idea?
