My earlier post was in no way meant to put down Jeff's advise on painting.  I admire those that have taken the time and effort to learn the "art form" of painting.  It's just that I could count on one hand the the number of KR's I've seen in the last 30 years that were deserving of $700 a gallon paint and many of those have been recently.  Painting to me is something you learn to do right, like Jeff, or you have someone that knows what they are doing make your project look as good as possible given your efforts to prep. Reasonable prep and a decent paint job well have onlookers drooling on your KR when you park it on the ramp.  Herculean prep effort and great paint will get you "Bronze Lindy" awards at Oshkosh.
