That's the spirit of homebuilding! I can post photos on my site if you'd like 
to share them. As well, Flesner uploads his to Dropbox.com and he posts the 
links. Either way, I'd like to see your photos.
Q1: does the drive system have some type of break-away connection? If the 
alternator were to fail catestrophically could it sieze the crankshaft?
Q2: is the fan still part of the alternator? It must have been there for a 
reason, right?
