After all these years Mark L. is surely fed up with reminding netters to trim 
their responses.  Seems like this reminder of the rules needs to be repeated 
every two years or so . . . possibly because of new members since you won't 
find long-time members re-posting unnecessary verbiage.  It's mainly the newer 
members I'm guessing.  

Fully three quarters of the text of my digest today is nothing but re-posting 
of the posts being responded to.  If you get your KR posts one by one it's 
possible netters don't notice just how much fluff is being transmitted.  The 
reasons for trimming are to avoid annoying cranks like me but really . . . it's 
just plain sloppiness in using electronic communications, takes up needless 
storage space and bandwidth, screws up searches in the archives and a few other 
reasons Mark has noted in previous reminders on this subject.  

Thanks for paying attention to this although I half expect any responses to 
this will include the full text of everything I've just written.  Sigh . . .
