Ron, I fly behind an early version GRT efis. I added AP servos after flying off the 40 hours. It makes X country flying so much better being able to relax and enjoy the view outside. I also fly behind P mags. I have no regrets. My KR is a heavy pig with an O 235, but I get 140 kts @ 5.5 -6 gph and a smooth ride. The Dynon efis will work just fine. So much better than steam gauges, and you get an autopilot for a bit more.
Good luck Roger Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: Ron Brown via KRnet Sent: Saturday, February 6, 2021 6:00 PM To: KRnet Cc: Ron Brown Subject: Re: KR> Auto Pilot comment Hello all, Interesting comments about the auto pilot system in the KR. I have been a fan of electronics in the cockpit since 1994. I had the opportunity to fly in the cockpit of a 747-400 across the Atlantic. The pilot was an EAA member and gave me an unforgettable experience. It's so sad that an invitation to the cockpit may never happen again. I will be talking to Dynon this week about the components I will be ordering. I also made the decision to go with a electronic ignition system after listening to an EAA webinar about magneto's. Sam S., I may be contact you! I am grateful to the group for all the discussions and support. Hope to be flying in a year!
