Am I the only KR builder that is aware that the KR -2 is not to be
intentionally spun? When I built mine back in the 70s, from the yellow
cover KR plans, it was either stated in the plans, or in Butch Koppe's
KR Newsletter, that spins were not to be performed. Look at a Gruman
Yankee, and you will see the similarities in the bottom fuselage
shape. The Yankee is placarded " Spins Prohibited". My KR has a "
Spins Prohibited" placard on the instrument panel. I had demonstrated
many stalls with KR builders in EAA Chapter 582, who were still
building. There were 6 or 7 building at the time. Just before the
break, it would shudder, shake, practically screaming to tell you it
was about to stall. I always figured this was due to the 3 degrees of
washout built into the wing. The break was always straight forward,
provided you were in a coordinated flight situation, solo and with a
passenger. As Larry always says, " Your results may vary ". John

When testing my kr2 nose wheel. We did full weight straight stalls.
With no wing drop and some buffering Very nice.
 Never wanted to spin it.
