That should have been:
pitch in inches X rpm = inches per minute X 60 minutes = inches per hour
/ 12 (inches per foot) / 5280 (feet per mile) = speed at 100% efficiency
36 x 2450 = 88,200 x 60 =5,292,000 / 12= 441,000 / 5280 = 83.52 mph
