John is having printer problems and I shared the printer experience I've
had with him. I'll put it out for any KR folks that hate to spend $30+
on those silly little ink cartridges.
"If you are looking for a printer I recommend the Epson Eco-tank. I
have the model 2750. I think it was $200 +/- and I've printed thousands
of copies (had it for several years) and still have a good 25% of the
ink left and the ink is cheap to replace. I got tired of paying $30+ on
a silly little ink cartridge that ran out as soon as I started to use
it. I'm guessing I'm hundreds of dollars ahead by now and never
hesitate to print anything, even in color. The only problem I've had is
once in a while the ink jets dry and clog but a "super clean" procedure
fixed it every time. It is a full feature machine. I checked and the
price has doubled since I bought mine (on sale) but they have cheaper
models with the same features. "
I'm extremely happy with the one I purchased. I've kicked out stuff for
the Gathering rather than going to a printer, printed poetry books for
gifts, printed hundreds of copies of song lyrics, stuff for my wife's
quilting patterns, etc and I've still got at least 25% of the ink I
started with.
