While at the airport today I verified some of my recent ramblings.
Sam Hoskins bio – EAA Chapter 277
Sam is running an 0-200 with 9 to 1 compression, electronic ignition and
fuel injection, turns a 60X74 prop (I didn't note the maker, I think its
a Cato), runs wide open throttle turning 3000 rpm and burning 8 gph. He
turns in race times in the 205 mph range.
Sam flew the airplane from west coast to east coast in the USA in less
than 24 hours a few years back. How's that for a personal goal?
