Kieran,

Yes, you can use a scale to get the length. Make sure to keep the last vertical
member out till you fit the tail (per Manual).

Note also that the lower longeron stops bending at I and should be straight on
back to the tail. That should help.

Thanks,

Subject: KRnet> Help interpreting fuselage drawings

Hi everyone,

I have been looking at 'Drawing A' that I found in the KRnet archives. It shows
the layout of fuselage side framing.

If I understand how the fuselage is built you reference everything from the top
longeron. It looks like the width of each bay is given down the bottom between
the letters marking the start and end of each bay.

A number of other measurements are called out at various points - presumably
they are vertical offsets from the top longeron which you can use to form the
shape of the side.

Those measurements run out at station 'I' - how do you get measurements for
stations 'J' through 'O' - do you scale the measurements relative to the ones
you are given ?

I attached a copy of the drawing to show what I am looking at. Thanks in
advance for your help.

cheers,

Kieran
