Mark L's KR experiences with runway handling . . . I had the honor of doing initial flights of Jim Morehead's KR-2S tri-gear and had the same experience when comparing tri-gear versus conventional. I've had the good fortune with Ken Cottle's KR-1½ of never having any control issues on the runway but still, the difference in ease of handling between conentional and tri-gear is huge. Especially for someone new to the plane. Now, retractable tri-gear would truly be the cat's meow. It's been done . . . but I don't remember who it was.
