Oscar,

Yu just recommended the SELLER of this engine! You have given me confidence
that this is a legitimate deal; thanks very much for your information about
him. Richard is currently restring another Aeronca at that airport (I think
that one, he jumps around a lot).

Just got off the phone with Richard, and he had a story with you in it. He has
the highest respect for your values, and even recalled your Piet and a couple
of other stories (if you remember him well, you know what I'm talking about - a
couple of stories turned into 4 calls and 2 hours on the phone)..

As we speak, Larry Howell is on his way there to inspect an O-300 engine for my
172. This is a zero-time engine still in the crate from the repair shop- in
1970! After I put new seals and gaskets in it, I'll hang it on my Cessna,
until I get the KR flying.

Thaks so much for your input,

Griff;

Here's a name and contact info for a person who I know and respect who hangars
at Bulverde. Dr. Richard "Doc" Hecker is a pilot, aircraft restorer, and AME
who does airman medical exams at his hangar! d/b/a "Assend Dragon Aviation".
What's not to like about that arrangement?! He lists his phone number as
(210)391-1072. The guy who he restores aircraft with is an A&P, very talented
and experienced guy, also hangars at Bulverde.
