Howdy, Netters; I'm still in the process of rejuvenating/overhauling N335KC, the KR 1-1/2 that I bought from Mike the end of last summer. It'll be awhile before it's back in service. My focus is mostly on the avionics, the panel, and things aft of the firewall but like everything else, it seems that I start working on one thing and in the course of doing so, I find something else that needs attention as long as I've got things open and accessible. Still a lot to do on it.
The main purpose of my post is to inquire as to Mike's status. At my last contact with him, which was probably in January, he was not doing very well health-wise. Since Mike is one who keeps mostly to himself, there really isn't anyone who checks on him and I've gotten no response to my emails or phone calls to him. I heard from a pilot friend of mine in Lancaster (California) whose step-dad was a KR guy that Mike had been taken to the hospital undernourished and very weak, but I haven't heard anything since. Mike's hangar is at Gillespie Field in El Cajon/Santee and Mike's house is very close to the airport. If anyone has info on Mike, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
