Larry,
Really good question to Jonsey, I wondered the same thing ... but quietly to
myself... It can happen I guess, I pick up lost jewelery laying around in
parking lots when I see it, run over and trashed - no apparent value to anyone,
just junk. It lays in my cup holder for years sometime. Last time I turned it
in at a gold buyer I got over $125 for what looked worthless...Just sayin'

Thanks to John Bouyea for locating the info on the KR belt buckles.
They were made and sold in the fall of 1978 and the design was based on
the logo of the newsletter.  There may be as many as 149 besides mine
that may be hiding out there in dresser drawers.  Having been around
since the first KR flew I enjoyed scanning some of the newsletters to
see how the KR developed in to what we have today.  And I'm wondering,
Mark Jones, how many KR builders have scrap gold lying around to make
into wings? 🙂
