I had the same situation happen to me and there are special contact lenses that
will take care of your double vision. I have been wearing them for  over four
years now and they work great. Kip

Subject: KRnet> Eye surgery I have had to suspend my flight testing because of
an issue with my eyes. I started having double vision and went to my eye
doctor. He found that I had some severe cataracts in both eyes, and they have
to come out.
I have now had my right eye treated (cataract removed) and this coming
Thursday, I will have my left eye treated. Though that will take care of my
cataracts, it will not treat my double vision. He said that once my new lens
procedures are competed, they will see if the double vision is corrected and if
not, there is another procedure for special glasses with prisms that can
correct the double vision. I will have to wait until after my cataract
procedures are completed.
By the way... I can't believe how blue the sky is after my first cataract
removal procedure... --
