KDE Help Center says «*Both panels remember recently visited folders.
Click on the Folder history button ("watch" symbol) ..*.»

But what *exactly* do the panels remember? And what do they forget ??

However hard I try, I can find no rhyme nor reason in the folder
history list.

Sometimes it suddenly truncates; yet other times it seems to grow
repetitively, and without bounds.

Sometimes I can count on Sync Panels to remember where I was; but other
times *Sync-or* has forgotten what I had stowed away for *Sync-ee*.

It would help preserve my sanity if someone could explain the algorithm
that generates Folder History ...
